ABOUT EE

What is Eindhoven Entrepreneurs?

Eindhoven Entrepreneurs (EE) is a networking community for international founders, freelancers, and entrepreneurial professionals in the Brainport/Eindhoven region. We run regular coffee meetups, speaker evenings, Behind the Scenes Visits to companies, skill workshops, and larger events. Our community started in December 2024 and has grown to over 600 members on Meetup.
EE is for people who are building something. That means entrepreneurs, startup founders, freelancers, business owners, and intrapreneurs inside larger companies. If you are actively working on a business or seriously considering it, EE is for you.
No. EE is specifically built for the international community in Brainport. The common language is English. Many of our members are expats or international professionals who moved to the region and want to build their network here.
No. You do not need a KvK registration to join. EE welcomes founders at all stages, including those who are still building or planning their first business. What matters is that you are serious about entrepreneurship.
Our events are based in and around Eindhoven and the wider Brainport region. Members come from Eindhoven, Helmond, Veldhoven, Best, and surrounding areas. As long as you are active in the Brainport region, you are welcome.
All EE events are held in English. This is a deliberate choice to make the community accessible to everyone, regardless of their Dutch language level.

EVENTS

What events does EE run?

You get access to spaces, people, and stories that are not open to the general public. Past and planned visits include companies and institutions across the region. COMMUNITY AND WHATSAPP

How does the WhatsApp community work?

Once you join EE, you are invited to our WhatsApp community. This is where members share opportunities, ask questions, celebrate wins, and stay connected between events. It is an active, English-language group. Please read the Code of Conduct for guidelines on what is and is not appropriate to post.

One relevant promotional message per month is acceptable. Repeated or off-topic promotional posts are not allowed. If you are not sure whether something is appropriate, ask a board member first.

The WhatsApp group is private and restricted to members. However, messages are visible to all group members. Do not share sensitive personal or financial information in the group.

VISIBILITY AND LINKEDIN

What is the LinkedIn introduction post?

When you join as a paid member, EE publishes a personal introduction post about you on the EE LinkedIn page. This introduces you to our network and gives your profile a visibility boost.

Professional Pass members receive an additional post that highlights their company or business specifically. This is separate from the personal introduction post and gives your company direct exposure to the EE network.

A Behind the Scenes Visit is a curated group visit to an innovative company or institution in the Brainport region. You get access to spaces, people, and stories that are not open to the general public. Past and planned visits include companies and institutions across the region. Professional Pass members get these included. Entrepreneur Pass members get a 15% discount.

Professional Pass members who join during the 2026 launch year receive Founding Supporter Recognition. Your name is listed publicly on the EE website as someone who helped build this community from the start. This recognition is permanent, even if you later switch to a lower tier.

STUDENT SPONSORSHIP

What is the student sponsorship benefit?

Professional Pass members can sponsor one student to join EE at 50% off the applicable membership price. The student applies through the standard application process and must meet the same eligibility criteria. This benefit is designed to support the next generation of entrepreneurs in the Brainport region.

Any current student enrolled in a higher education programme (HBO or WO) in or around the Brainport region. The student must be working on or seriously planning a business or entrepreneurial project.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

What is the selection process based on?

Applications are reviewed on four main criteria: your connection to the Brainport/Eindhoven region, your community mindset (what you can contribute, not just what you want to get), your professional activity, and whether your industry helps maintain the diversity of our membership mix. We avoid overrepresentation of any single industry.

Usually 2 to 3 weeks from application to decision. This includes attending a trial meetup and a short intake conversation with a board member.

If a particular industry exceeds 15% of total membership, new applications from that sector may be placed on a waitlist until the balance is restored. We will tell you clearly if this is the case.

EE offers a speaking club as an optional add-on for paid members. It runs as a Toastmasters-affiliated club with bi-weekly sessions and structured communication development. Ask us for current details and pricing.

Yes. Guests are welcome at most EE events at the non-member price. Bringing someone who could be a good fit for the community is actively encouraged. If they love it, they can apply for membership.

Email us at hello@eindhoven-entrepreneurs.nl or reach out through the contact form at eindhoven-entrepreneurs.nl. For urgent matters during an event, speak directly to a board member.
