1. WHO WE ARE

Eindhoven Entrepreneurs is a commercial networking organisation for international founders, freelancers, and entrepreneurial professionals in the Brainport/Eindhoven region. Our services are operated by IndustrySpan Consulting B.V., which acts as the data controller for all personal data collected through our website, events, and community platforms.

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

Membership application data

  • Full name, email address, phone number
  • Company name, job title, industry sector
  • City and region of residence or work in Brainport/Eindhoven
  • Professional background and business description
  • Reason for joining and intended contribution to the community
  • Membership tier selected and referral source

Event and community data

  • Event attendance records and registration history
  • WhatsApp community messages (visible to all group members)
  • Photos or videos taken at events (with consent)

Website and technical data

  • IP address, browser type, device type
  • Pages visited, time on site, referral source
  • Cookie identifiers and analytics data (see Section 6)
  • Contact form submissions via our website

Payment data

Membership payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card or bank details. We retain records of transaction amounts and dates for accounting purposes.

EE reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breach of these terms, without refund.

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

  • Active members: for the duration of membership plus 2 years after termination.
  • Declined applications: deleted within 6 months of the decision.
  • Financial records: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law (Belastingdienst).
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
  • Event photos: up to 3 years, unless you request earlier removal.
  • Website analytics data: up to 26 months, depending on your cookie consent.

5. WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only where necessary with the following parties:

  • Meetup.com: event discovery and RSVP management.
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): community messaging platform.
  • DigitalSpan: website hosting, contact form processing, and development.
  • Newsletter/email tool: member communications and newsletter distribution.
  • Payment processor: secure handling of membership fee transactions.
  • Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Authority): legal obligation for financial records.

All third-party processors are required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR. Data processing agreements are in place where applicable.

WhatsApp notice: Messages sent in our WhatsApp community are visible to all group members. Please do not share sensitive personal or financial information in the community group.

6. COOKIES AND TRACKING

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. We use the following categories:

  • Necessary cookies: required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand how visitors use our site. Only placed after your consent.
  • Tracking and marketing cookies: used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Only placed after your consent

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Access to personal data is limited to those board members and volunteers who need it for their role in EE operations.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Members will be notified of significant changes by email. The current version is always available at eindhoven-entrepreneurs.nl. This policy was last updated in April 2026.
